Empire Energy Consultants was founded by Nicole Gwardyak in 2008.  Nicole began her work in the natural resource development industry in 2004 .  When she began working as a landsman in northern Pennsylvania, it became evident to her what impacts natural gas exploration could have to the individual landowner.  At that time she started hosting public informational meetings in conjunction with the New York State Farm Bureau educating landowners how to best protect themselves when negotiating their leasing contracts.  At that time she began her work as a landowner advocate in New York.  She has also participated as a vital resource in media coverage on the developing issue of Marcellus Shale exploration.  She was forced to choose between the work and the educational forums in NYS or her contractual position as a landsmen in Pennsylvania.  Nicole still continues her public advocacy work to mitigate issues that cannot be negotiated within the contract.  Nicole prides herself as being a landowner working for landowners that promote fair and responsible drilling practices. 


Nicole has been featured at workshops at the state, county and local levels for both legislators and land owners.  She continues her ongoing monitoring of  issues in local, regional and national issues as they pertain to natural gas exploration. 

Empire Energy Consultants’ mission is to educate landowners of the value of their mineral rights and to facilitate negotiations for safe, responsible,  and environmentally  conscience drilling practices.
